Voucher at the carrier's first scanPut your old clothes in the tcycled bag, scan the code on the cap and send the bag back, with your next return or on its own. Your voucher comes at the carrier's first scan.
With or without the app. Sorted by Artus in Bad Oldesloe. No bag? Your own box works too.
No container nearby? The bag goes back with your next return.
Clothes and shoes you no longer wear. Clean and dry; holes and tears are fine.
Scan the code on the cap with the app or your phone camera. Then the bag is yours.
With your next return, on its own with your shop's return label, or at the checkout in a store.
It comes at the carrier's first scan. Loops and the donation follow once the bag is weighed.
You don't wait for the sorting. As soon as the carrier scans the bag for the first time, your voucher is in your wallet, or in your inbox if you registered the bag without the app.
In Bad Oldesloe, at Artus. Every bag is weighed and sorted by hand, and you can follow yours all the way there.
In the app we show how everything Artus sorts is split, by weight and with a date. App screens here use sample data.

Our campaign writes goodbye letters to the clothes we've outgrown. Write one for yours.

Kindly, and with a voucher. Here's what goes in the bag, how the cap works and three ways to send it back.
Clean and dry. Holes, tears, stretched or hopelessly out of fashion: all welcome. Dirty, wet or mouldy things belong in the household bin.
Tap everything that belongs in a tcycled bag.
Every bag has its own code on the cap. Scan it with your phone camera or type it in here. You don't need the app for this.
Pick whatever is easiest. However it travels, your voucher is ready at the first scan.
Put the bag in your next return parcel, or send it on its own with your shop's return label.

No. The bag, the app and registering cost nothing. If you send the bag on its own, your shop's return terms apply.
Ask for one when you order from a partner shop, at the checkout or in the app, and it comes in your parcel. No bag yet? Use your own box with a label from the app.
No. Register the bag on this page with your email, and the voucher comes by email. The app shows every step and keeps all your vouchers in one wallet.
Your shop sets the value and the conditions. You see both as soon as the bag is registered, before you send it.
As soon as the carrier scans your bag for the first time, or when store staff scan the cap. Usually that's the day you send it.
Yes, as long as they're clean and dry. What can't be worn again is recycled where possible; what can't be recycled goes to energy recovery. Dirty things belong in the household bin.
Yes, tied together in pairs. A single shoe can't be worn again, so please keep those out.
To Artus in Bad Oldesloe, where every bag is weighed and sorted by hand. See what happens next.
You get 1 Loop for every bag that arrives. Spend three Loops for €5 off a product made with recycled fibre.
Artus weighs every bag in Bad Oldesloe and sorts it by hand. Each piece goes where it is still most useful: reuse first, then recycling, energy last. We show you the split.
Reuse comes first: a piece worn again can stand in for a new one. Recycling comes next. Energy recovery is for what can't be used any other way.
Pieces that can be worn again are sold as second-hand clothing.
It's the best outcome: the water and energy that went into making them have already been spent, and the piece keeps using them.
A broken zip, a missing button or a small tear can send a piece to a partner workshop.
There it can be repaired, or remade into something new, like a bag or a patchwork jacket.
Worn-out pieces of suitable material can be shredded and spun into new yarn.
How much of it ends up in new clothes, we show in the split.
Fibre that can't become clothing again becomes insulation, cleaning cloths or filling.
It replaces new material in products that last for years.
What can't be reused or recycled, like wet, mouldy or heavily mixed material, is used to make energy.
That's why we ask for clean, dry clothes: it keeps this tier as small as possible.
Pick something from your wardrobe and see where it could go next. These are possible routes, not a promise for every piece.
Denim is tough. Jeans that arrive whole usually still fit someone.
Tied together in pairs, shoes can be worn again. A single shoe can't.
It was there for everything. Now it can be there for someone else.
Worn twice, photographed once. It still has Saturdays ahead.
Faded, stretched and a little see-through. Still useful.
The EU is bringing digital product passports to clothing; the rules for textiles are planned for 2027. With records from artusNet, a passport could one day show which returns the recycled fibre came from.
Sample record. Scan the label on the garment to open the real one.
Every bag is weighed when it arrives. Your figures start from your own kilos, not an average bag.
Water and CO₂e are only shown for the reused share, with the published study they come from right next to the number. Until a source has been checked, we show none.
We round, and we say which period a figure covers.
We publish how much is sold as second-hand outside Germany, and where it goes.
